Ayse Ismailoglu (she/her)
Associate
My goal is to create a space where you can show up as yourself, feel seen, and work through challenges without judgment or pressure. As a biracial therapist with a passion for social justice and human rights, I provide an inclusive and affirming environment for all clients.
I support clients through life transitions, identity exploration, relationships, anxiety, and depression, helping them build confidence and clarity in their next steps.
What’s one strength clients often notice about you?
Navigating life as a teen or young adult can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re figuring out who you are, what you want, and how to build healthy relationships along the way. My goal is to create a space where you can show up as yourself, feel seen, and work through challenges without judgment or pressure. Many of my clients appreciate the sense of freedom and safety that comes from having that kind of support.
What kinds of challenges do people usually bring to you?
I support clients through life transitions, identity exploration, relationships, anxiety, and depression, helping them build confidence and clarity in their next steps.
My approach is collaborative, reflective, and conversational. While I’m direct and solutions-oriented, I also value slowing down to process emotions and make meaningful connections between what you’re feeling and experiencing.
What drew you to this work?
As a biracial therapist with a passion for social justice and human rights, this work provides me with an opportunity to combine my lived experience with a deep commitment to offering an inclusive and affirming environment for all clients. I strive to create a space that supports LGBTQIA+ clients and honors the intersections of identity, culture, and lived experience.
How does your training help you support your clients?
I earned my Master’s in Counseling from The Family Institute at Northwestern University, which followed a clinical immersion model and incorporated an emphasis on psychodynamic perspective focused on unconscious psychological processes and the critical role of early childhood experiences. My LPC is currently in process.
Currently accepting new clients.
