Working as a licensed clinician without regular supervision or consultation can put you on the fast track to burnout. In fact, I know that I couldn’t be as effective a therapist without the self-reflection and clarity supervision/consultation provides.
Could You Benefit from Supervision or Consultation?
Whether you’re a licensed therapist looking for clinical supervision or peer consultation—or are in the process of becoming licensed, supervision can make you a better therapist. Objective, effective supervision facilitates higher quality psychotherapy which, in turn, helps build your practice. I believe good supervision should build upon the supervisee’s understanding of clinical process and offer alternative up-to-date perspectives on therapeutic action.
Contact me for information on supervision services if:
- You need supervision to obtain a license to practice.
- You’re feeling alone or burned out in your current therapy practice or agency.
- You’re looking for fresh eyes and ears to help with a particularly difficult patient or case.
- You want to discuss current psychotherapy treatments that could more effectively help your patients.
I am able to provide specialized supervision in the areas of trauma, PTSD, sexual assault/abuse, women’s issues, depression, anxiety, child therapy and more. Like my counseling style, I supervise from a psychodynamic perspective with an eye toward increasing skills and techniques to use with patients.
For a 50-minute individual supervision session, my fee is $175. If you are working toward licensure, I will slide this fee for you.
Why I Participate in Peer Consultation
Passionate about my work as a therapist, I’m committed to ongoing professional development.
In addition to attending seminars, conferences and training programs to stay on the cutting edge of clinical practice methods, I also participate in a bi-monthly peer consultation group, comprised of an interdisciplinary team of therapists. My participation in this group is essential to providing my clients with the highest quality treatment.
Become a better therapist.
